Partnership provides European customers and partners with local support for MetaPoint

Boston, US and London, UK – 16 March 2010 – Vamosa, a provider of software and solutions for Enterprise Content Governance (ECoG), and SchemaLogic, the leader in metadata management software for enterprise content, today announced an expanded partnership to provide European support for MetaPoint. Vamosa has been appointed the sole European distributor for Schemalogic’s MetaPoint software which integrates with Microsoft Office to tag and classify documents automatically when they are created and suggests to the user where documents should be stored on the Microsoft Office SharePoint Server. Vamosa will offer local support for European customers and Microsoft Partners engaged in enterprise SharePoint implementations.

MetaPoint is particularly suited to companies implementing SharePoint across the organization for document management and who operate in regulated industries where records management requirements drive a focus on tagging documents at source for findability, compliance and security concerns.

For example, Continental Airlines has deployed MetaPoint as a part of a comprehensive Information Management strategy to greatly reduce the cost of eDiscovery inquiries by making information easier to find and govern across the enterprise. The airline, relying on MetaPoint, is able to consistently manage and apply metadata across the organization and greatly increase the value and usability of information while reducing cost and improving information governance and eDiscovery compliance.

“MetaPoint is extremely valuable to the enterprise as it provides the ability to use tags and metadata to manage content throughout its lifecycle in environments such as Life Sciences where effective storage and retrieval of documents is critical to the business,” said Jeff Dirks, President and CEO, SchemaLogic. “As a result of this agreement Vamosa is now able to offer European customers local support for MetaPoint, which will complement their expertise in effective governance of the content lifecycle.”

George Knox, CEO, Vamosa said, “We now offer Microsoft European partners and customers the capability to find and share information more effectively using SchemaLogic’s MetaPoint. Vamosa’s suite of ECoG products, incorporating MetaPoint, not only helps to get content under control, but lowers costs; from the cost of regulatory compliance to reducing SharePoint administrations costs. This partnership offers customers valuable access to software and services that will transform content into findable knowledge. It also provides ongoing monitoring and maintenance of web sites to increase interaction and sales and reduce risk.”

SchemaLogic and Vamosa first announced a relationship in 2009 to promote the importance of content quality in delivering Enterprise Content Governance. Together, the companies offer customers a one-stop shop for a range of technologies that help get content under control through effective governance throughout the full content lifecycle: initiation, creation, control and consumption.

Metadata management software company joins Vamosa’s enterprise content governance alliance

Boston, US and London, UK – 16 July, 2009 -Vamosa, a provider of software and solutions for Enterprise Content Governance(ECoG), and SchemaLogic, the leader in metadata management software for enterprise content, today announced a technology partnership to promote the importance of content quality in delivering Enterprise Content Governance. SchemaLogic will become a founder member of the Vamosa ECoG alliance, formed to offer customers a one-stop shop for a range of technologies to analyze, cleanse, migrate, monitor and maintain unstructured content types, such as Web and document content.

The ECoG alliance offerings allow large businesses and Governments worldwide to implement content management and compliance policies within an infrastructure of best practice methods. Vamosa software automates the process of building quality standards into Web and Document content, complementing the structure imposed by Content Management Systems (CMS) and delivering faster time to value. The technology helps to save organizations time and money by avoiding lengthy manual processes.

“The ability to store, access and share content is integral to the running of an organization but even the best designed content management system can be ruined by poor content quality. We’ve teamed up with Vamosa to ensure enterprises can obtain a standard of content quality that is built in at the point of creation,” said Lowell Anderson, Vice President, Marketing, SchemaLogic.

Business critical information is generated everyday in Microsoft Office applications, however companies face significant challenges to share, maintain and govern that information. Information must be tagged, however doing so is perceived as overly burdensome and intrusive, with businesses either struggling with the issue or ignoring it altogether. SchemaLogic technology automates the content tagging process at the desktop making it easier for information workers to consistently store and retrieve information in Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007.

“As specialists in metadata tagging for SharePoint, SchemaLogic is a compelling partner choice for Vamosa,” added Nic Archer, senior vice president, Vamosa. “Partnering with SchemaLogic will allow Vamosa to offer customers improved content governance, thereby improving findability and reducing costs for the enterprise.”

Worldwide Microsoft Partner Conference, Booth # 1036, Houston, TX, July 8, 2008 –

SchemaLogic, leading provider of Metadata Management software for unstructured content, today announced it has attained Gold Certified Partner status in the Microsoft Partner Program with a competency in ISV/Software Solutions recognizing SchemaLogic’s expertise and impact in the information management technology marketplace. As a Gold Certified Partner, SchemaLogic has demonstrated expertise with Microsoft technologies and a proven ability to meet customers’ needs. Microsoft Gold Certified Partners receive a rich set of benefits, including access, training and support, giving them a competitive advantage in the channel.

The SchemaLogic Connector for SharePoint 2007 supplies companies with the power to develop and manage an enterprise-wide metadata model to describe documents stored across multiple SharePoint sites. SchemaLogic enhances Microsoft SharePoint 2007 by improving information access, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and SharePoint provisioning and administration.

“The impact of Microsoft SharePoint has been incredible, giving enterprises the ability to collaborate across department lines and across the globe. SchemaLogic extends the capabilities of SharePoint by aligning document descriptions across the enterprise and allowing SharePoint to operate as a unified information management system,” says Jeff Dirks, CEO of SchemaLogic. “Together with Microsoft, we are providing customers with a true collaboration solution to optimize content management performance, reduce cost, improve document findability, and meet stringent regulatory compliance requirements.”

“Customers are looking for partner companies that can bridge the gap between their business demands and technology capabilities,” said Allison Watson, corporate vice president of the Worldwide Partner Group at Microsoft Corp. “They need to trust in a company that can act as an expert adviser for their long-term strategic technology plans. Microsoft Gold Certified Partners, which have certified expertise and direct training and support from Microsoft, can build a positive customer experience with our technologies. Today, Microsoft recognizes SchemaLogic as a new Gold Certified Partner for demonstrating its expertise in providing customer satisfaction using Microsoft products and technology.”

As one of the requirements for attaining Gold Certified Partner status, SchemaLogic had to declare a Microsoft Competency. Microsoft Competencies are designed to help differentiate a partner’s capabilities with specific Microsoft technologies to customers looking for a particular type of solution. The ISV/Software Solutions Competency recognizes the skill and focus partners bring to a particular solution set. Microsoft Gold Certified Partners that have obtained this competency have a successful record of developing and marketing packaged software based on Microsoft technologies.

“Solutions competencies are an important way for Microsoft to better enable ISVs to meet customer needs,” said Sanjay Parthasarathy, corporate vice president of the Developer and Platform Evangelism Group at Microsoft Corp. “They allow ISVs to keep and win customers through their deep knowledge of solutions-based Microsoft platform technologies. Microsoft has a long history of working closely with ISV partners to help them deliver compelling solutions and applications to our mutual customers, and the Microsoft Competencies are an important step in continuing to enhance vital relationships with ISVs worldwide.”

The Microsoft Partner Program was launched in October 2003 and represents Microsoft’s ongoing commitment to the success of partners worldwide. The program offers a single, integrated partnering framework that recognizes partner expertise, rewards the total impact that partners have in the technology marketplace, and delivers more value to help partners’ businesses be successful.

Lowell Anderson, SchemaLogic, (425) 952 – 2117

Kirkland, Washington – April 14, 2008 – SchemaLogic, the leading provider of metadata management software for unstructured content, today announced that its SchemaLogic Connector for Documentum has received the “Designed for EMC® Documentum®” accreditation, a mark of quality and value that customers can depend on in enterprise applications. The “Designed for EMC Documentum” accreditation demonstrates that SchemaLogic has successfully met a comprehensive set of criteria for solid design and quality integration.

The SchemaLogic Connector for Documentum allows companies to create, link and update EMC Documentum and Microsoft SharePoint 2007 metadata structures. The metadata relationships are maintained in SchemaServer and synchronized with the target Documentum and SharePoint systems. The result is higher quality retrievals for end users and consistent descriptions of unstructured content across both environments for further use downstream in other processes, such as retention and eDiscovery.

“EMC’s position as the leader in enterprise content management is strengthened by the support of great partners such as SchemaLogic,” said Randy Ziegler, Director of Developer Programs at EMC Corporation. “Partners like SchemaLogic build solutions and applications on the Documentum platform because customers have demonstrated their trust in EMC Documentum to manage their most critical and strategic information. The accreditation program is another way EMC earns that trust while supporting innovative offerings like SchemaLogic.”

“Many enterprises have deployed both Documentum and SharePoint to create, store and secure key corporate information and documents. These companies rely on Documentum to provide regulated infrastructure for content management, archiving and records management. SchemaLogic supports this strategy by enabling Documentum and SharePoint to be managed as a unified corporate information system,” commented Jeff Dirks, CEO of SchemaLogic. “We have been working with several large enterprise customers and look forward to growing our business substantially by working with Documentum, clearly the world leader in enterprise content management.”

SchemaLogic Connector for Documentum received design accreditation through participation in the Designed for EMC program; a program designed to help ISVs, VSPs and SIs design, develop and go-to-market with successful offerings based on the EMC Documentum platform. As a member, SchemaLogic received specialized design consultation and guidance, along with access to dedicated content management technical resources. Partners can submit their offerings to be considered for the “Designed for EMC Documentum” accreditation – which if achieved, signifies to customers that the offering meets high standards for architectural compliance with Documentum practices and will provide a reliable integration with less uncertainty for joint customers.
Kirkland, Washington – March 03, 2008 – SchemaLogic, the leading provider of metadata management software for unstructured content, today announced that they have been chosen by KMWorld for the 2008 list of “100 Companies that Matter in Knowledge Management.” For the third consecutive year, SchemaLogic is recognized as a leading provider of enterprise software allowing customers to find, use and protect content across the enterprise.

“It is an honor to be named to KMWorld’s 100 Companies that Matter in Knowledge Management,” said Jeff Dirks, CEO of SchemaLogic. “We continue to expand our products to match requirements and demand in the marketplace. Our solution to manage metadata for Microsoft SharePoint systems solves a big problem for enterprises and knowledge workers in 2008 and beyond.”

SchemaLogic provides enterprise software for metadata management, enabling enterprise findability by organizing the terms, definitions and relationships that describe content. The SchemaLogic Enterprise Suite (SES) provides a complete set of capabilities to manage and deploy complex metadata models. The foundational component of SES is a rich metadata model designed to meet the highest standards for complexity, scale and performance for a living corporate vocabulary. SES also includes connectors to map or cross-reference metadata from collaborative sites and content repositories like Microsoft SharePoint and EMC Documentum. And finally, SES includes a change authority capability that captures modifications to the metadata model; validates that the proposed changes comply with policy, and implements the approved revisions to the model.

Hugh McKellar, editor in chief of KM World commented, “We have long held that the true essence of knowledge management is an attitude, a single-minded commitment to improvement. Companies on our list simply must emphasize an abiding determination to serve their most important constituency: their customers. They must also show agile innovation combined with a full understanding of the forces that affect, and will affect, their customers.”

KMWorld’s list of “100 Companies that Matter in Knowledge Management” is selected by knowledge management practitioners, theorists, analysts, vendors, and customers and represents the list of vendors that make the most impact in the space. The 2008 list of “100 Companies that Matter in Knowledge Management” will be published in the March issue of KMWorld magazine.
