The rich modeling capability within SES is designed to meet the highest standards for complexity, scale and performance for a living corporate vocabulary. This model provides a single, unified location for the creation, management and distribution of metadata. By providing different views into a standard vocabulary based on user or application need, the model ensures comprehensive access to content.
Dynamic Broker
For most businesses, the majority of content resides in a heterogeneous content infrastructure that includes collaborative sites and content repositories like Microsoft SharePoint and EMC Documentum. SchemaServer provides a dynamic broker to map or cross-reference metadata from these multiple systems. New metadata is shared and standards are enforced in a way that is non-intrusive to applications. Finally, SES connects native or industry taxonomies into the model to maintain regulatory standards.
Change Authority
Change authority manages the capture of new ideas or changes in the corporate metadata from any interested user.
