Jeff Dirks Jeff Dirks — President and Chief Executive Officer

Jeff Dirks is a hard-charging entrepreneur and leader with a track record of success in both venture-backed companies and established market leaders. He has an extensive background in operational execution spanning early-stage go-to-market strategies, launch of new products/services, enterprise sales and services, high availability operations and distributed enterprise-system software engineering. Jeff has led or played a role in raising over $75 million in venture financings for start-up companies.

From 1998 to 2003 Jeff served in various executive capacities at financial services leader CapitalStream, including executive vice president for product delivery and field operations. He served as President and COO of CapitalStream from 2002 through 2003. At CapitalStream, Jeff led company launch efforts into the commercial/retail banking sector developing the industry’s first SAAS-based Commercial Finance Automation Platform, including responsibility for national accounts at Bank of America, Fleet Boston Financial, and Merrill Lynch.

From 1992 to 1998, Jeff served in various executive roles at supply chain management leader FourGen Software (acquired by HK Systems) including Director of Client Services. As Vice President of Product Delivery from 1996 – 1998, he led Fourgen’s product development & delivery efforts for a worldwide supply chain management implementation at General Electric.

Jeff began his technology career as a software engineer at IBM’s Federal Sector Division (Air Force Satellite Control Network) in 1991. He also served from 1984 – 1988 as a non-commissioned officer with Top Secret (SCI) clearance for the U.S. Army Military Intelligence as an electronic warfare and collections analyst at Field Station Berlin.

Jeff holds a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Washington with secondary majors in Germanics and Linguistics.

Lowell Anderson Lowell Anderson — Vice President, Marketing and Product Management

Lowell brings more than 20 years of technology product development and marketing experience to SchemaLogic, most recently as vice president of strategic marketing for Vallent Corporation.

Prior to Vallent, Lowell was a vice president at Metawave Communications Corporation. Lowell also spent 5 years in design engineering and development in the Aerospace industry. Lowell holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the Rose-Hulman Institute of
Technology in Terre Haute, Indiana and an MBA from Seattle University.

Rob Richardson — Vice President, Worldwide Sales

Rob Richardson has over 20 years of enterprise software and information technology experience, with specific strengths in enterprise software sales management. His strong track record in growing emerging technology company sales is backed by his ability to identify markets and verticals, build partnerships, and win key enterprise accounts. Rob’s strengths have contributed to the success of Saros — the market leader in document management — leading to the sale of Saros to FileNET; Frame Technology — the market leader in electronic publishing technologies — leading to its sale to Adobe; and ChiliSoft — a leader in web application development — leading to its acquisition by Cobalt/Sun Microsystems. He has also worked for Burroughs Corporation (now Unysis) and Agfa Corporation.

Rob has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Washington and master’s degrees in Business Administration and Public Policy and Administration from California State University, Long Beach.

Tom Pacholke — Vice President, Field Operations

Tom comes to SchemaLogic with more than 20 years of software industry experience, leading start-ups and emerging technology companies in a variety of executive and senior management roles. His experience includes key roles at CapitalStream, WorldStream Communications, Troika Interactive, ATG and Epicore Software.

Tom began his career as a consultant with Andersen Consulting (now Accenture). He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and accounting from the University of Washington.

Steve Biondi— Chief Architect, Server Systems

Steve brings over 10 years of enterprise software consulting and development experience to SchemaLogic, most recently as a senior consultant at TIBCO and as a system architect at CapitalStream. Prior to that Steve worked at Microsoft as a SDK writer for the Microsoft Exchange 2000 team.

Prior to software development, Steve worked on a PhD in chemical physics at the University of Chicago. Steve earned a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley and a master’s degree in Physical Chemistry from the University of Chicago.

Ian Dunmore – Chief Architect, Desktop Systems

Ian joins SchemaLogic with over 20 years experience in software systems architecture, design and engineering; most recently at Microsoft as an architect in the Office group, he spent 8 years driving declarative metadata driven, semantically aware, next generation systems and initiatives.

Prior to Microsoft, Ian filled various leadership roles, ranging from architect to vice president, across a variety of start-ups and established enterprise software houses, including Network Imaging Corp – an ECM vendor, Excalibur Technologies – building semantic/conceptual search and retrieval appliances, and Learning International – developing their Sales Force Automation systems.
