Previously, he was the president and founder of Compare.Net, the leading buyer’s guide on the Internet. Media Technology Ventures, Intel and GE Capital backed the company, which was founded in 1996. Trevor sold his company to Microsoft in March of 1999. Trevor began his career in marketing as a brand manager for Seagram’s in New York. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Princeton, a graduate degree in political science from Oxford and a master’s in business administration from Berkeley’s Haas School of Business. Trevor is chairman of SchemaLogic, is affiliated with three venture capital firms, serves on several corporate and charitable boards including the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley, and has been quoted in Forbes, Business Week, Time, the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times and other leading publications. Jeff Dirks — President and Chief Executive OfficerJeff Dirks is a hard-charging leader with a track record of success in both early-stage companies and established market leaders. He has an extensive background in operational execution spanning strategy, enterprise sales and services, distributed enterprise-system software engineering and financial operations. From 1998 to 2003 Jeff served in various executive capacities at CapitalStream, including president and chief operating officer, where he architected the business and technical strategy that sparked company growth and market share leadership. Jeff led CapitalStream’s push into the commercial/retail banking sector developing the industry’s first ASP-based Commercial Finance Automation Platform, including winning and servicing accounts such as Bank of America, Fleet Boston Financial, Merrill Lynch, Siemens Credit and Bank of the West. Prior to CapitalStream, Jeff was vice president of product delivery at HK Systems, a leading supply chain management software company. From 1992 to 1998, Jeff rapidly advanced at FourGen software, progressing from development team lead, group product manager and director of consulting before serving as vice president of engineering and executive director for General Electric Supply’s worldwide supply chain management upgrade. Jeff began his career in enterprise IT at IBM as a software engineer. He also served four years in U.S. Army Military Intelligence in West Berlin.
